Hyperlocal grocery delivery PepperTap announces a massive discount of flat 50% on onion prices!

With onion prices in India rising steeply with every passing day, mobile-first hyperlocal grocery delivery service PepperTap has stepped up to ease the grievance of the country’s populace by announcing a heavily discounted onion sale on its platform. Going live on August 31, the offer would see onions available at a flat 50% discount on the city’s retail prices specific to the day. Onion prices are already 20% lower than the current retail prices on PepperTap.

Renowned for its fast, efficient door step service, PepperTap will be leveraging its country-wide service network to provide consumers with onions at reduced prices. PepperTap has been procuring exclusive onion stocks from its partners and vendors across all cities to fulfil the growing demand.

Speaking on the announcement, Navneet Singh, Co-founder & CEO, PepperTap, commented, “We established PepperTap to ease the grocery shopping challenges faced by Indian consumers. By offering this discounted sale, we wish to alleviate the consumer inconvenience caused due to this unexpected rise in onion prices.”

Adopting an innovative hyperlocal grocery delivery model, PepperTap is currently present in ten cities in India. The company is looking to expand its business to incorporate more cities in its growing service network.
